Upper Elementary Teacher
	Job Description: The Teacher manages a Montessori Upper Elementary classroom. The opening is in the Upper Elementary classroom for the fall of 2008. We are looking for a teacher to implement the Montessori Math curriculum. This is a full time position, co-teaching position. You will be teaching students from 9 - 12 years old. Candidate must be energetic, creative, nurturing and firm, a team player, have good organizational skills and fit well wit a productive staff. Candidates must also have the ability to allow the students to develop independence in the classroom and maintain positive relationships with parents and co-workers. Qualifications: Candidate must have a Bachelor degree (Education degree strongly preferred), Montessori certification (9-12) is preferred; or willingness to take the training this summer. Strong supervisory skills, strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to teach an Upper Elementary classroom using the Montessori curriculum is desired. The teacher must possess strong leadership skills, flexibility and the ability to develop strong parent partnerships.
