Meet Our Young Professionals Network Board
Young Professionals Network Chairperson
I work in Business Development for Birmingham Bloomfield Credit Union. Our mission is “We strive to improve the financial lives of our members through education, trust, and innovative products and services.” We have 2 locations to serve you, one is here in Waterford and one in Birmingham. I love being able to connect with the families and local businesses in Waterford. I am always looking to help with community projects and to be able to help in all areas of need. We currently are a Blessing in a Backpack donation station, Bottomless Toy Chest drop off before Christmas, and new in our Waterford office we are helping D.R.A.W. collect items for disaster relief.
Working with the Chamber has given me both personal and professional opportunities for growth. When you are involved in the chamber you have the chance to learn so much about the local businesses and how they can help you or you help them. Often this becomes the building of new friendships as well.
When I’m not working, I enjoying spending time with my husband Mike of 36 years, my 3 boys, Sean, Ryan, Austin and our dog Marley. I love fishing, boating, and reading which I can do all three at one time and that’s a bonus!
Young Professionals Network Co-Chairperson
I am the Youth Assistance Caseworker at Waterford Youth Assistance. Waterford Youth Assistance is a non-profit 501(c)3 and is sponsored by the Oakland County Family Division, Waterford Township, and the Waterford School District. Waterford Youth Assistance is made up of a Board of Directors of volunteers who live or work in the Waterford Community. Our mission is to help strengthen youth and families and to prevent and reduce juvenile delinquency, child neglect and child abuse by providing positive alternatives, through short term counseling and volunteer involvement.
What I found to be the best part of being involved in the Chamber is the passion other members have for the Waterford Community and how involved and supportive they are for the local non-profit organizations. In my free time, I enjoy doing yoga, hiking, and camping with my two year old son, husband, and dog, Arlo.
I work in Business Development for ATD Solutions, LLC. ATD Solutions stands for "Attention to Detail" and that is what we provide to clients when performing bookkeeping services and QuickBooks training. We handle all of your accounting needs up until Year End taxes where we will work with the client's CPA to provide accurate and detailed financials. Our services include Day-to-Day Bookkeeping, QuickBooks Support, Training, Consulting and Set-up personalized for your business needs. I've been with ATD Solutions just over a year now but in that short time I have acquired a great deal of knowledge and guidance from Jackie who co-founded the company in 1999. We take pride in what we do here at ATD Solutions and will not give up until a clients needs are fully met. We take the stress out of accounting so clients can enjoy being business owners and fulfilling their life passions.
What I love most about the Chamber and YPN is the opportunities they provide for us to grow as individuals and as professionals as well as the opportunities to give back to the community. In my free time, I love spending time outdoors with our dog Bella who we rescued. If we aren't on the boat sunbathing, we are running 5K's together. I have a younger sister who also rescued 2 dogs. I love to give back to the community and would rescue every dog I see if I could get them all off the streets.
I am the Marketing Coordinator for Joe Fagan State Farm. I handle various forms of marketing, including event planning and implementing campaigns to promote and educate the community on services we have to offer! We are always looking for new ways to participate and contribute to the community. I am also licensed in Property and Casualty and able to provide quotes!
Joe Fagan State Farm is a family owned and operated Agency, with Joe being my husband! We can help mitigate the risk of everyday life with insurance covering your auto, home, business, workers compensation, life and disability. We also offer bank products including vehicle loans, credit cards and checking/savings accounts. We always assist our customers on an individual needs basis and you won’t have to wonder if you have the proper protection in place.
I love being a part of the Waterford Chamber and a sponsor of YPN. It was an honor to become a part of the YPN committee this year! I am looking forward to creating more relationships and working alongside other businesses in our area!
In the time we are not in the office, we love spending quality family time with our Daughter, Cassidy, and our Son, Colton. We are expanding our family by two feet this year, with our third child due in May!
Waterford is home. Waterford is home for business, life, and leisure. Being a 5th generation Waterford resident, the lakes, the local businesses, and the personalities that our community generate make the township what it is. Our family has been associated with Lotus and Maceday Lake since the turn of the 20th century. It is only appropriate that my grandfather John “Jack” Taylor helped build my grandmother Bernadine her dream home on Lotus Lake. Together they merged a family, and built a business in Safety Technology International (STI). A former high school teacher, I found a place in the family company as a financial analyst while still investing time in the improvement of the Waterford community. Being on the board of the Waterford Area Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals Network provides direct access towards helping nurture the passions of others to grow the business portfolio of the Oakland County corridor in Waterford Township, Michigan.
Bio coming soon!
I am a Natural Health Educator, Hypnotist and Reiki Master. I absolutely love helping people find their happy balance between modern medicine and traditional therapies used by our ancestors. It is my absolute belief that being healthy shouldn't be cost prohibitive. Our bodies are amazingly designed works of art that can accomplish much healing if we simply provide the tools to do so. First and foremost, I'm an educator not a salesperson.
Being part of the chamber has offered me the ability to network with local business-people and really build deeper connections. Waterford is my home and I enjoy the sense of community the chamber promotes and creates. I had no idea about many of the non-profits or businesses that were here until I joined the chamber. It has been a wonderful way to learn and share. In my spare time, I love to cycle, hike, read and go on just about any adventure.
